Alnico alloys are created through a process in which predefined amounts of the component metals are heated to a molten state.The molten mixture gradually hardens under a variety of cooling conditions,followed by periods of reheating .During the cooling and reheating processes,strong external magnetic fields are applied to the alloy while it is still semi - molten .A strong external magnetic field induces the domains of the forming alnico magent into a desired orientation ,giving the final product a specific field strength and direction.
